Jean Todibo would rather be almost anywhere on the sidelines of Nou Camp and admit that he would rather play French football in the fourth division than be starved by Barcelona by playing time.
The 21-year-old center-back has almost more loans than appearances since signing for the Catalans, playing just five games before playing stints at Schalke, Benfica and now Nice.
Todibo spent the first half of 2020/21 in Portugal, but failed to make a one-time appearance in the Liga NOS, prompting Barca to cancel the deal and taking him to the French Riviera in January, where he finally plays a key role in the defense.

The talent is on loan in Nice and finally plays a key role after the poor stints of Schalke and Benfica
The 21-year-old signed for Barca in 2019 as a teenager, but only played five times
When the Frenchman returns to LaLiga this summer, Todibo has no interest in rewarming the couch, admitting that he would rather play for minnows Sedan Ardennes.
‘It’s stupid to go to Barcelona and not play. I’d rather wear the Sedan jersey and play than go to Barcelona and not play, ‘said Todibo The team
‘You already have less criticism at Sedan. The presentation in Barcelona, it’s madness, but I’ve only played five games, it’s fake in real life.
‘I won La Liga [in 2019], but I didn’t help the team, I played when we won the title! I think I can do better. ‘
Todibo has admitted that the pressure from Barcelona players is difficult to handle
The Frenchman was loaned out to Schalke last season, but the club did not accept their purchase option
A reported £ 7.3m buy option clause is in the Nice deal, a price cut from the £ 21m passed on by Schalke last summer.
Not that Todibo cares if it offers him an escape route from the stagnation in Barcelona.
The youngster – born two days before the 21st century began – still has a lot of potential to realize, having enticed the Catalans into a € 1 million contract while still a teenager in Toulouse.
