Jay-Z has broken his silence after being accused of raping a 13-year-old girl with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs in 2000.
The 55-year-old rapper, whose real name is Shawn Corey Carter, issued a statement denying and condemning the allegations brought forward through the Roc Nation X account.
An updated complaint in a civil case against Combs alleges that Jay-Z and Combs raped the girl at an MTV Video Music Awards afterparty in September 2000.
Jay-Z was added to the lawsuit that was originally filed as one of several anonymous complaints in October by Texas attorney Tony Buzbee.
Many of the lawsuits did not survive because the plaintiffs refused to reveal their identities. However, the judge said the victim, who was 13 at the time, showed sufficient cause to pursue the lawsuit anonymously.
In Jay-Z’s statement, he criticized Buzbee, suggesting he was not a legitimate lawyer, and launched into a series of insults, calling him a “deplorable human” and an “ambulance chaser in a cheap suit.”

The rapper added that the allegations, which he said were “so egregious in nature,” were all “idiotic statements.”
In the letter, the Roc Nation founder began: “My attorney received an attempted blackmail, called a demand letter, from a “lawyer” named Tony Buzbee.”
He accused Buzbee of taking on the case for “personal gain” and wrote, “What I had calculated was that the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.”
‘No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud that you are VERY publicly,” he continued. ‘So no, I won’t give you EVEN A RED CENT!!’
These allegations are so egregious in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil complaint!! Whoever committed such a crime against a minor should be locked up, don’t you think? These alleged victims would deserve true justice if that were the case,’ he continued.
‘This lawyer, who I’ve done some research on, seems to have a pattern for this kind of theatrics! I have no idea how you came to be such a deplorable human being, Mr. Buzbee, but I promise you that I have seen your species many times. “I’m more than prepared to deal with your kind,” he added.
‘You claim to be a marine?! Marines are known for their bravery, you have no honor or dignity.
The rapper then mentioned that it’s “unfair” that his family, particularly his eldest daughter, Blue Ivy, is also affected by the lawsuit.

The 55-year-old rapper, whose real name is Shawn Corey Carter, issued a statement denying and condemning the allegations brought forward through the Roc Nation X account.
“My only anguish is for my family,” he wrote. ‘My wife and I will have to sit down with our children, one of whom is of an age where his friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain the cruelty and greed of people.
“I mourn another loss of innocence,” he wrote.
‘Children should not have to endure this at such a young age. “It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice aimed at destroying families and the human spirit,” he added.
“My heart and support go out to the real victims of the world who have to watch as this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit disguises his life story for profit.”
‘You have made a terrible error in judgment by thinking that all “celebrities” are the same. I’m not from your world,’ he wrote.
‘I am a young man who managed to get out of the Brooklyn project. We don’t play these types of games. We have very strict codes and honors,’ he continued.

‘We protect children, it seems that you exploit people for personal gain. Only his network of conspiracy theorists, fake physicists, will believe the stupid claims he has made against me which, were it not for the seriousness of the harm to children, would be ridiculous.’
He concluded his statement by writing, “I hope to show you how different I am.”
The same day, Combs also shared a statement through his legal representatives, according to ABC News.
His legal representatives responded to the latest filing, stating: “This amended complaint and the recent racketeering lawsuit against Mr. Buzbee expose his barrage of lawsuits against Mr. Combs for what they are: blatant publicity stunts, designed to extract payments from celebrities who fear that lies will be spread about them, just as lies have been spread about Mr. Combs.
‘As his legal team has said before, Mr. Combs has complete confidence in the facts and integrity of the judicial process. “In court, the truth will prevail: that Mr. Combs never sexually assaulted or trafficked anyone, man or woman, adult or minor,” Combs’ representatives said in the statement.
