Jay Z has revealed that he will sit down with Beyoncé to explain an explosive new civil lawsuit accusing the rapper of raping a 13-year-old girl with Sean Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs.
The couple, who are believed to have met before the alleged incident, married in 2008 and share three children: Blue Ivy, 12, and twins Rumi and Sir, seven.
The accuser, who is identified as Jane Doe in legal documents, claims the assault took place at a party after the 2000 MTV Video Music Awards.
The lawsuit was initially filed in the Southern District of New York last October against Combs, and on Sunday the suit was refiled naming the rapper, 55, whose real name is Shawn Carter.
The woman accusing the rapper claims that the assault took place at a party after the event, which took place on September 7, 2000 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City.
Jay-Z issued a lengthy statement to Dailymail.com on Sunday denying the claims made in the refiled lawsuit.
He referenced Beyoncé in the emotionally charged response and said he was shocked that his children had to find out about the allegations.
He said: ‘My only anguish is for my family. My wife and I will have to sit down with our children, one of whom is of an age where his friends will surely see the press and ask questions about the nature of these claims and explain the cruelty and greed of the people.
Jay Z has revealed that he will sit down with Beyoncé to explain an explosive new civil lawsuit accusing the rapper of raping a 13-year-old girl with Sean Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Diddy, Beyonce and Jay Z appear here together in 2004.
He continued: ‘I mourn another loss of innocence. Children should not have to endure this at their young age. It is unfair to have to try to understand inexplicable degrees of malice aimed at destroying families and the human spirit.’
Jay Z insists the allegations are extortion and fiercely attacked the lawyer representing Jane Doe: “My lawyer received an attempted blackmail, called a demand letter, from a ‘lawyer’ named Tony Buzbee,” he said. ‘What I had calculated was the nature of these allegations and the public scrutiny would make me want to settle.
‘No sir, it had the opposite effect! It made me want to expose you for the fraud you are VERY publicly. So no, I won’t give you EVEN A RED CENT!!’
The musician continued: ‘These allegations are so egregious in nature that I implore you to file a criminal complaint, not a civil one! Whoever committed such a crime against a minor should be locked up, don’t you think?
‘These alleged victims would deserve true justice if that were the case. This lawyer, who I’ve done some research on, seems to have a pattern for this kind of theatrics!’
Jay-Z issued a lengthy statement on Sunday denying the claims made in the refiled lawsuit.
The rap classic, whose hits include Empire State Of Mind, Big Pimpin’ and Can I Get A…, took personal aim at Buzbee, who has taken on more than 100 cases against Combs.
“I have no idea how you came to be such a deplorable human being, Mr. Buzbee, but I promise you I’ve seen your kind many times,” Jay-Z said in his response. I’m more than prepared to deal with your kind. You claim to be a marine?! Marines are known for their bravery, you have no honor or dignity.
“My heart and support go out to the real victims of the world who have to watch as this ambulance chaser in a cheap suit disguises his life story for profit.”
Jay-Z said in his statement that Buzbee “made a terrible error in judgment” by classifying all celebrities as equal, referencing his own rise and beginnings in New York City.
“I’m not from your world,” he said. ‘I am a young man who managed to get out of the Brooklyn project. We don’t play these types of games.
‘We have very strict codes and honors. We protect children, it seems like you exploit people for personal gain.
Jay-Z concluded his statement by saying: “Only his network of conspiracy theorists, fake physicists, will believe the idiotic claims he has made against me which, if not for the seriousness surrounding the harm to children, would be ridiculous.” .
“I can’t wait to show them how different I am.”
