Actor and LAFC co-owner Will Ferrell was spotted with Ted Lasso stars Jason Sudeikis and Brendan Hunt during the MLS season opener on Saturday.

The Fox Sports broadcast showed Ferrell, 56, chatting with his fellow stars in a suite at BMO Stadium as his club battled Western Conference rivals in the Seattle Sounders.

They first appeared when LAFC scored the first goal just before halftime. Ten minutes into the second half, LAFC doubled their lead when the broadcast once again showed Ferrell and Hunt in the suites.

The ‘Coach Beard’ actor sported a formal suit complete with a coat and bow tie. Shortly after the game concluded, Sudeikis and Hunt arrived at the 2024 SAG Awards at the Shrine Auditorium and Expo Hall in Los Angeles.

Saturday wasn’t the first time the iconic couple showed up at BMO Stadium to watch LAFC in action. In September, they attended when the Hollywood-based team hosted Lionel Messi and Inter Miami. The visitors took the game 3-1, with goals from Facundo Farias, Jordi Alba and Leo Campana.

LAFC looks to build on its strong performances in its last two campaigns. After winning the MLS Cup in 2022, they finished last season with a 14-10-10 record before emerging from the west. Unfortunately, LAFC lost to the Columbus Crew in the MLS Cup final.

Their 2-1 victory over Seattle on Saturday gave LAFC its seventh consecutive victory in the season opener.

The home team rallied thanks to goals from Timothy Tillman and Mateusz Begusz before Seattle’s Pedro de la Vega scored a penalty in the 75th minute. The match was also goalkeeper Hugo Lloris’ debut for the Black and Gold after more of a decade with Tottenham in the Premier League.

Both sides went blow for blow as Seattle attempted 16 shots and seven of them found their mark. Meanwhile, LAFC shot 17 of their own and put seven on frame. Despite losing a clean sheet, Lloris made six saves in a successful introduction to Los Angeles.

LAFC will hit the road for their next match when they face Real Salt Lake on March 2.
