Jason Kelce Reveals The One Thing He Wishes He Had Done But Wasn't Able To Do During His NFL Career

Jason Kelce revealed his only regret from a successful 13-year NFL career.

The Super Bowl winner, six-time First Team All-Pro and seven-time Pro-Bowler announced his retirement in March after spending his entire career with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Talking with Sports IllustratedThe decorated former center revealed that he wished he could block for Saquon Barkley before hanging up his cleats.

“I always say to (Eagles general manager) Howie (Roseman), ‘Why did you wait until I retired to add a piece like this?’ The last time I played with a running back probably that talented was LeSean McCoy, I would say,” Kelce said.

“I met Darren Sproles at the end of his career and he was very good, too. I’ve played with some good backs. I’m very grateful for the teammates I’ve had, but having a player like Saquon would have been great.”

“There’s a lot of runs that you would traditionally see and there wouldn’t be much there, maybe there’s no gain, maybe it’s a tackle for loss or all of a sudden one of them (in Week 1) looked like he was close to getting tackled behind the line of scrimmage and breaks it for a touchdown,” Kelce told the outlet.

“In another case, the race came down and he just found his way and managed to score 15-plus points. He’s a very good player.”

While Barkley sought greener pastures in the City of Brotherly Love, his former team was crushed by the Vikings, 28-6, in Week 1.

Barkley will face the Giants for the first time in his new colors when they square off on Oct. 20.
