Jason Kelce jokes his ‘elbow doesn’t work’ as he and fellow Eagles legend Fletcher Cox prepare to throw the opening pitch during the Phillies’ game against the Braves on Saturday

Jason Kelce joked on social media that his ‘elbow isn’t working’ a few days before he and fellow Philadelphia Eagles legend Fletcher Cox throw out the first pitch at a Phillies game on Saturday.

Cox and Kelce retired from the NFL this offseason after spending their entire professional careers with the Eagles.

Kelce and Cox were also part of a larger group of Philadelphia players who attended Game 6 of the National League Championship Series between the Phillies and Diamondbacks last October at Citizens Bank Park.

The first pitch in Saturday’s game against the Atlanta Braves was announced today on the ‘New Heights’ podcast, hosted by Jason and Travis Kelce.

It’s unclear if Kelce will throw the ball normally or try to walk like a center.

“Yes, Saturday, not the first home game, and to be clear, @fcoxx_91 is going to have to throw him out because my elbow isn’t working,” Kelce said on X.

Kelce and Cox played together on the Eagles for 11 seasons, as Cox joined the team in 2012 and Kelce arrived in Philadelphia a year earlier.

The most common thing Kelce has been seen doing with his arm in public has been drinking beers, and he showed no signs of injury by holding Bud Light cans to his face.

Kelce opted to play hockey and lacrosse at Cleveland Heights High School and never suited up for the school’s baseball team.

However, his form off the mound will be heavily judged on Saturday.
