Before the start of Thursday Night Football between the Chicago Bears and the Carolina Panthers, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce appeared at the station after his criticism of ‘Sexiest Man Alive’.
Kelce lost out to actor Patrick Dempsey for the award given out every year by People Magazine, but he jokingly said he doesn’t need a magazine to feel like the sexiest man alive.
He was introduced as the “sexiest man in the NFL” during the pregame show — and they even made a cover with his face on it — which led to Kelce dropping some jokes.
“Listen, I don’t know how this all happened, but it’s honestly just another day,” Kelce, 36, said. ‘My wife keeps telling me I’m the sexiest man alive, so I wonder why it’s taken so long for this nomination to go through.
“It was a whirlwind, it was fun. It’s a win for plus-size men everywhere.”

Jason said his wife Kylie ‘reminds me every day that I’m the sexiest man in the world’
Kelce was also interviewed by Taylor Rooks during the pre-game show. When she asked what Dempsey had that he didn’t, Jason joked, “I don’t know, a chiseled jawline?”
‘It’s more about self-reflection. What could I have done to get better? How could I have been sexier? Don’t know. I tried my best.
“My wife Kylie reminds me every day that I’m the sexiest man alive, so as long as I’m still No. 1 in her heart, I’m good.”
‘I’ve been thinking for three years that this is the end, so I think the emotion comes out a little more every year.
“You try to cherish it a little bit more every day, every game. As you get older, it becomes harder to have a little energy and enthusiasm. If you think about it in terms of ‘hey man, this could be the last game you ever play’, it really sets the tone for the day.
“I think for me, I don’t know when that’s going to happen – whether it’s going to be the last year or not. But I’m just trying to enjoy it while it’s here.
When asked when he thinks he’ll know it’s time to hang it up, Kelce said, “Well, I think it’s going to hurt a lot to keep playing — and it does now.”
The Eagles have a bye this week, but return for Monday Night Football for a Super Bowl rematch against the Kansas City Chiefs.
