Before the evening’s Monday Night Football festivities began, the Monday Night Countdown team decided to have a little fun with panelist Jason Kelce.
Over the weekend in Philadelphia, there was a ‘Jason Kelce lookalike contest’ where many white, bearded men gathered to be judged to see who was the most similar in appearance to the former Eagles center.
The pageant seemed to attract people from as far away as Connecticut, as everyone participated in the festivities.
It seems that the only person who did not completely agree with the situation was Kelce himself.
When the broadcast began showing images of the contestants, Kelce complained that they all looked like him.
‘News flash: any overweight white guy with a beard looks like me! What are we talking about?’ Kelce proclaimed.

Kelce played in the NFL for 13 seasons, all with the Philadelphia Eagles, before retiring in March.
‘It’s an easy competition. There is absolutely nothing special about these gentlemen, other than that they are large bearded people of Caucasian complexion.’
After showing the results of the contest, where the panel disagreed with the winner, host Scott Van Pelt offered some self-deprecating humor.
‘Hey, listen, we’re all in the content space. 10 years on SportsCenter, any bald white guy with glasses, we’ve been doing something with it, so don’t discount free content,” Van Pelt said.
Kelce was unmoved: ‘Do you know how discouraging it is to know that there is nothing unique about you? (and that) Thousands of people look like you.’
Ryan Clark, who was also on the panel, made a comment to lift Kelce’s spirits.
“Don’t worry about it… just wear that gold jacket, they don’t give it away,” the former cornerback said, referring to the jackets Hall of Famers receive when they are inducted.
Kelce played all 13 of his NFL seasons in Philadelphia and became a local cult figure for his warm nature and football prowess. Kelce retired earlier this year after being a six-time first-team All-Pro and seven-time Pro Bowl selection in a Philadelphia jersey.
