Jason Donovan, 54, shows off his physique as he soaks up the sun at Bondi Beach

Jason Donovan showed off his toned physique as he was spotted enjoying some time at Bondi Beach in Sydney on Friday.

The Strictly Come Dancing star, 54, went shirtless as he was caught strolling along the popular Australian tourist hotspot.

The singer looked gorgeous as he donned a pair of black shorts and Nike shoes for the beach look.

He carried a black backpack over his shoulders and a white T-shirt around his neck, as well as two pairs of sunglasses in his hands.

The Neighbors star painted his nails black and passed the time listening to something on his AirPods.

It comes right after Jason broke his silence about an Amazon revival of Neighbors just months after the soap was canceled and filmed a special finale with his ex Kylie Minogue.

The show’s biggest stars are back for the so-called finale, which will air in October 2022.

Earlier this month, it was reported that Kylie – whose career took off when she played mechanic Charlene Robinson between 1986 and 1988 – felt “tricked” into returning.

Speaking on Nova Fitzy & Wippa with Katie Ritchie, Jason said it was surprising the show was revived so quickly, but he’s glad the crew kept their jobs.

He said, “I’ll be honest with you, it was a surprise.”

“But… I think anything provides an opportunity to keep people working and actors and producers and all that stuff.”

Jason, who played Scott Robinson on the popular series, married Kylie’s on-screen character Charlene Mitchell, and the actors later developed an off-screen relationship.

Their relationship, which lasted for three years, was made public, and many Neighbors fans were very excited to see the two on screen together again.

Asked what it was like working with Kylie again, Jason said, “It’s beautiful. It is a nice. Obviously, Kylie and I were a huge part of that story.

‘But a lot has happened since then. What I will say is the nostalgia is massive right now.

I think what was going on and the group of people there was chemistry. There was some magic going on.

The West End actor was then asked what his first kiss with Kylie was like, but he laughed and admitted he couldn’t remember.

He said, “I’ll be honest, I can’t really remember that.”

“There was a massive fusion of characters on the show at the time and I think it was really a Scott and Charlene moment, right Jason and Kylie.”

Guy Pearce, who played Mike Young on Neighbors, expressed his feelings last December at the Australian Academy of Film and Television Awards that he wasn’t happy with how the reunion turned out.

“It’s hard to watch, isn’t it? Knowing we’ll never see another episode again,” he said, as part of the show’s tribute to the night.

“A painful reminder that the things we love can be snatched away, and we’ll never go back… unless Amazon comes to the rescue and makes our finale look like a rather expensive exercise.”

I don’t want to say (it was) a waste of time. But still, I’m sure Margot (Robbie) will be happy.

Hollywood star Margot, who began starring as Donna Friedman on the show, did not return to Australia to film the reunion, but instead appeared in a 14-second video message from Los Angeles.
