American pop star Jason Derulo announced as Keith Urban’s replacement on The Voice Australia
Fans of The Voice Australia can expect fireworks from new coach Jason Derulo when the singing competition airs later this year.
The 33-year-old American pop sensation says she’s looking for the next global superstar.
And Jason has already sent a strong message to co-stars Rita Ora, Guy Sebastian, and Jessica Mauboy.
“I’m super, super competitive, almost insanely competitive,” the cocky Talk Dirty singer said in an interview with The Sunday Telegraph.
Jason came to the success of Channel Seven as a replacement for fan favorite Keith Urban, who left the show as manager at the end of last season.

“I’ll bring a global perspective,” Derulo said, explaining his game plan.
“These are obviously musicians from Australia, but the way the music industry has changed, there are no rules anymore.”
He said contestants shouldn’t be ‘typecast’ as future local stars.
“I think more than ever, the lines have blurred, so there’s an opportunity for a global star to come out of this.”
Jason, who grew up in Florida, became a star in 2009 with his first single Whatcha Say, which was a No. 1 hit in the US.
Since then, she has sold more than 250 million singles worldwide, including the hits Wiggle, Trumpets, and It Girl.
Jason has come to the Channel Seven show as a replacement for fan favorite Keith Urban (pictured), who left The Voice as manager at the end of last season.
Urban appeared as a judge on the first series of The Voice Australia, before leaving and then returning for seasons 10 and 11.
Keith said last October that he was trying to balance his schedule with his wife Nicole Kidman, 55, (right) so they could take their children to visit grandparents and relatives over the Christmas holidays.
He has also written songs for Diddy and rapper Lil Wayne, and currently has 57 million followers on TikTok.
Meanwhile, Urban said he quit The Voice because he wanted to spend time with his family and tour Australia.
The country music star, 54, left the singing show to kick off the Down Under leg of The Speed Of Now World Tour based on the titular album she released in 2020.
