The Blue and Orange rallied behind stars Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart, scoring 22 points each. While Brunson recorded seven rebounds and seven assists, Hart notched a double-double with 13 rebounds.

Miles McBride and Bojan Bogdanovic proved to be positive reinforcements, coming off the bench to score 21 and 13 points, respectively.

On the other hand, the 76ers fell despite Tyrese Maxey’s 33 points and Joel Embiid’s 29. Kyle Lowry also contributed 18 points to Philadelphia’s losing effort.

The Knicks went 50-32 last season to take second place in the East. Meanwhile, the 76ers (47-35) had to beat the Miami Heat in a Play-in to qualify as the seventh seed.
