And Seinfeld star Jason Alexander has revealed his favourite moment from his character George Costanza on the iconic sitcom.
Jason, 65, appeared on The Project on Thursday to promote his new partnership with Uber Eats, when the topic quickly turned to his most recognizable role.
Host Waleed Aly asked Jason to reveal his favorite Costanza moment and it didn’t take long for the actor to come up with his answer.
“George fell into his own trap many times and had to either get out of it or not get out of it,” Jason said.
He then revealed that his most memorable moment in Costanza occurred in the season three episode titled Red Dot, where George has a romantic affair with his office cleaning lady.
“The one I remember so clearly, because I thought it was brilliant, was an episode where George was working at the publishing house and he had sex in his office with the cleaning lady and he got caught,” Jason explained.
‘If you’re writing that scene and you say, “Well, I’ve got this guy named George Costanza, what happens next? Anything you imagined wouldn’t be what they came up with.”

Jason then repeated George’s immortal rebuttal: “Is that wrong?”
He went on to reveal that the way creators Jerry Seinfeld and Larry David crafted George’s response to the plight gave the actor incredible insight into George’s mind.
“It’s the most brilliant attempt to save my ass that I could ever have imagined,” he said.
“The one I remember so clearly, because I thought it was brilliant, was in an episode where George was working at the publishing house and he was having sex in his office with the cleaning lady and he got caught,” Jason explained.
“When I first saw that script and saw that that was the approach they had taken, that was a great insight into who that character was to me.
“I found it really helpful in understanding how George Costanza’s mind works.”
Waleed admitted he had almost forgotten about the scene, which originally aired in 1991, until Jason started telling the story.
After repeating George’s iconic ‘is that wrong?’ response, Jason added: ‘That’s the most brilliant attempt at saving your ass I could have ever imagined.’
In response, Jason said that was a testament to the show’s creators.
“Jerry and Larry were writing a type of comedy that was very novel,” he said.
“It had a different shape, a different sound, different music. It focused on different kinds of stories and characters. Back then it was very risky and went off the beaten path.”
