Jasmine Stefanovic, 40, who is currently in France with her husband Karl while covering the Olympics for Channel Nine, has shared several photos on social media to show off the luxurious accommodation they appear to have secured in an apparent Airbnb sponsorship deal.

Karl Stefanovic has made sure his wife Jasmine and children Willow and Harper are having a blast as they accompany him to the Paris Olympics.

Jasmine, 40, who is currently in France with her husband while covering the Games for Channel Nine, has shared several photos on social media to show off the luxurious accommodation they appear to have secured in an apparent Airbnb sponsorship deal.

One photo showed Karl and his four-year-old daughter Harper lounging on the daybed, while another showed a spacious bedroom with a king-size bed and a stunning view of the city.

She also shared a photo of young Harper sitting on her lap as they enjoyed a snack at a local cafe.

Jasmine captioned the photos: “A lovely welcome to Paris from @airbnb. Thank you for hosting us during the Olympics.”

“We have already created amazing family memories. It truly feels like a home away from home #airbnbpartner.”

Meanwhile, Karl, 49, shared a clip on Instagram showing him carrying a French baguette and a jar of Vegemite into the Airbnb apartment the family are promoting.

He made a cheeky face at the camera as he cheekily applied the iconic Australian spread to bread while sitting at the apartment’s balcony table.

Karl then toasted the camera with his baguette as he cut a slice for his daughter Harper.

He wrote in the caption: ‘Late nights and early mornings for this proud Australian in Paris.

“I’m so grateful to be here covering the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. It’s a joy to have my family here with me thanks to Airbnb. I can’t wait to see our team do their job. Go Australia!”

Channel Nine has clarified to The Australian that Karl is staying in separate accommodation to his Nine colleagues and his family.

“Karl is staying in the same accommodation as Nine staff, paid for by Nine,” they said.

Meanwhile, angry viewers have been unhappy with Karl’s reporting on the Olympics, with many Australians taking to social media to criticise Channel Nine’s coverage of the Paris Olympics.

Thousands of Australians woke up in the early hours of Saturday morning to attend the opening of the Paris Games, and had to wait hours until the Aussies finally showed up because they are the 2032 host nation, and Olympic protocol dictates they were the third-to-last nation to show up.

Viewers were unimpressed with Nine’s handling of the opening ceremony (and Karl’s commentary in particular), accusing him of talking over important and entertaining parts of the ceremony and many took to social media to ask him to shut up.

This comes as hundreds of jobs are to be cut at Nine Entertainment, including roles in the high-profile television news division, resulting in a staff strike.

In June, Nine Entertainment CEO Mike Sneesby announced the staff cuts as part of a $30 million cost-cutting plan for the company.

“Of our national team of almost 5,000 people, around 200 jobs are expected to be impacted across Nine, including some vacant and casual roles that will not be filled,” Sneesby said.
