Jared Kushner says the indictment will make Trump stronger

Date:

Jared Kushner says the indictment will only make Trump stronger as he admits he ‘was hard to watch’ and criticizes Democrats who ‘continue to break all norms’ to try to take his son-in-law out

  • Donald Trump’s son-in-law has become the latest family member to criticize the former president’s indictment
  • Kushner suggested that the Democrats orchestrated the issue because they were afraid of Trump’s “political power.”
  • It comes after WhatsNew2Day.com revealed that Melania Trump plans to stand by her husband who is said to be facing up to 30 criminal charges.

Donald Trump’s son-in-law says the former president’s indictment ‘only made him stronger’ as he becomes the latest family member to criticize the ‘disturbing’ case.

Jared Kushner accused Democrats of fearing Trump’s “political power” in a series of inflammatory remarks he made during a speech to bring peace to the Middle East.

It comes after it was revealed that Melania Trump is standing by her husband as he faces charges of more than $130,000 hush money to porn star Stormy Daniels in 2016.

Kushner said the case – led by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg – “clearly demonstrates the fear Democrats feel of Trump and the political power he wields.”

“As an American, it is very disturbing for me to see the leader of the opposition party being charged,” he told the crowd.

Trump's indictment marks the end of a year-long investigation into the $130,000 payment to Stormy Daniels, allegedly for her silence about their relationship.

“It was hard to watch his political opponents continue to break every convention over the years to try and get him.”

He continued, “But what I will say is that I’ve been by his side through a lot of these situations, and that’s only made him stronger, his determination to take on big challenges, and fight for change.”

Kushner — who previously served as an aide to Trump while in the White House — was speaking at an event organized by the Future Investment Initiative, a nonprofit backed by one of Saudi Arabia’s largest sovereign wealth funds.

Kushner’s relationships with investors in the Middle East came under renewed scrutiny this week.

The New York Times reported Thursday that wealth funds in the United Arab Emirates and Qatar have invested with private equity firm Kushner Affinity Partners.

Kushner is the latest member of the Trump family to attack the case against him.

Yesterday, Eric’s son told WhatsNew2Day.com that the indictment was the result of “opportunistic targeting of a political opponent in a campaign year.”

It echoed comments made by Trump himself as “political persecution and election interference at the highest level in history”.

He will stand trial in Manhattan at 2.15pm on Tuesday.

The exact fee has not been revealed yet but reports suggest that there are more than 30 accounts involved.

This was a victory for Manhattan Bragg, whose office was responsible for investigating the payment.

Bragg persevered with his investigation even though federal prosecutors chose not to prosecute Trump for allegedly illegal campaign contribution.

Instead, Bragg is believed to be looking into whether the payment was wrongly described as a business expense — a misdemeanor under New York state law.
