Ron Jans did not want to reveal on Thursday with which eleven names he will play in the away match against Sparta Rotterdam. The FC Twente trainer has the necessary absentees.
Robin Pröpper is missing due to a suspension and Joshua Brenet was injured in the last game with Go Ahead Eagles. Julio Pleguezuelo seems certain of a starting spot, but the question is whether Luca Everink will again get the chance at the right back position.
“Of course we spoke with Luca”, says Jans in conversation with the Tubantia. “It was not a nice substitution and then the first question is, how are you. Sometimes learning is quite hard, but that’s all part of it. If you ask him he will say that he wants to play. Logical: If Once you get an unsatisfactory mark, you want to rectify that.”
Jans knows that many young players have to prove themselves immediately with few minutes. “You train a lot, but you make very few minutes and then you have to get into it,” outlines the trainer. “That’s not a problem if you have to go in for 35 minutes. But it is difficult to get those guys fit for 90 minutes and the injury time. We do everything we can, but it’s not easy.”
Brenet cannot take action for the time being, but that is not a problem because the duel with Sparta Rotterdam is the last before the winter break. It is expected that the right back can rejoin at the beginning of January when FC Twente receives FC Emmen. Michal Sadilek must have recovered, just like Wout Brama. Christos Tzolis will be missing even longer.
