The actress-entrepreneur, in another messagerevealed that Yzabel’s death was caused by “sudden heart failure and a lung infection,” and shared that Yzabel initially hid what she was feeling from her family.
“Sa sobrang ayaw nya nakakaabala ng ibang tao, hindi nya sinabi een mga nararamdaman nya. Nagpa check-up sya the day before and (the) doctor gave her medicine na kaya iniisip naming (na) ok na,” she said. (Because she hated disturbing other people, she didn’t tell us about the things she was feeling. She had her checkup the day before and the doctor had already given her medicine, so we thought everything was already fine .)
“Then bigla na lang ganon. She was in her apartment in Manila when she suddenly had trouble breathing. Kasama niya Yaya, ate Iyn niya that time. Ate Iyn called us kaya dumiretso na kame agad ng Manila. Pero wala, after several attempts to bring (her) back to life, wala na talaga (siya)… God called her back home after (already). We love you so much, our Chabelits (heart emojis),” she further said.
(Then it just happened. She was in her apartment in Manila when she suddenly had trouble breathing. She was with Yaya, she ate Iyn that time. Ate Iyn called us, so we immediately went straight to Manila. But after several attempts to to bring her back to life, she was already gone.)
Multiple people expressed their condolences in the comments section and offered prayers to Dominguez and her family, including actors Ara Mina, Camille Prats, Rocco Nacino and Dear Abellawho announced the birth of her own son last month.
“StarStruck” alum Iwa Motowho previously dated Mickey, shared in an Instagram post that she considers Yzabel her “(firstborn) daughter.”
“(H)indi ako ang biological mother nya (I am not her biological mother). I was her stepmother for a few years,” Moto clarified, crediting Yzabel with teaching her about motherhood. She also called her a “survivor.”
“Sobrang daming mong pinagdaanan, anak. Nalampasan mo yun (You have been through so much, my child. You have overcome it all). And you (became) the best version of yourself (emoji),” she shared, listing the things she will miss about her.
Meanwhile, a Facebook story from one of her relatives mentioned that Yzabel had previously been diagnosed with lupus. Mary Nicole Pilar Ablan told her niece, “You won the battle, chabs, against lupus, and that will be your legacy.”
