Ja’net Dubois dies at the age of 74: Good Times actress, double Emmy winner and singer dies in her sleep

Ja’net Dubois died at the age of 74 in her home in Glendale, California.

The actress, who played Willona Woods on the Good Times sitcom in the 1970s, unexpectedly died in her sleep at night, TMZ reported.

Ja’net, who has three children, was last seen at a fan event a few weeks ago and had not recently complained about ailments.

It is unknown who discovered her body on Tuesday morning.

In addition to Good Times, Ja’net has appeared in various films, including Tropic Thunder, Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle and I’m Gonna Get You Sucka.

She is also the composer behind the theme song for The Jeffersons, called Movin ‘On Up.

Ja’net won two Emmy Awards for her voice-over work on The PJs – in 1999 and 2001.
