Jane Seymour said she left her Malibu home “just in time” with only the clothes she was wearing when the California wildfire hit “right at my house.”

Jane said her “whole house smells like smoke” after returning on Thursday, having rushed to evacuate the property on Monday night.
“I literally had jeans and a sweater, which I’ve been wearing for four days and sleeping in different people’s houses,” Jane explained on the red carpet at the British American Business Council (BABC) annual Christmas lunch.
‘On Monday night at 10.50pm we got a call from my partner, Johnny, John Zambetti’s son, who was at Serra Retreat.
‘(He) saw a glow behind the curtains, opened the windows, saw 10-foot flames and called us immediately and said, ‘Get out.’ Go out’.

‘The fire department was incredible and the fire came within inches of the property and they have saved many lives and I am eternally grateful and humbled. I ran out of the house with only the clothes I was wearing.’

In her speech, Jane also added that she feels “incredibly blessed” to still be working at the age of 73.
