Lily then hilariously described their friendship by saying, “Me too, I mean it when I say, kind of aloof.”

When both Jane and Stephen seemed surprised by her response, she explained, ‘well, that’s how you keep love alive… you hold back a bit, always keeping something mysterious and aspirational, not just divulging everything.’

The Emmy winner then described how she and Jane came to star in Moving On, revealing that it started with a simple phone call to writer-director Paul Weitz.

‘I said, ‘why don’t you write a movie for me and my friend?’ and he said, ‘sure.’ And he thought about it and wrote one.

Moving On opens in theaters on March 17.
