Oscar winner Jamie Lee Curtis continued to celebrate her “Everything Everywhere All at Once” win at the Beverly Hills Hotel on Monday. Drawing inspiration from British photographer Terry O’Neill’s iconic “morning after the Oscars” photos of Faye Dunaway lounging poolside at the Beverly Hills Hotel after her lead actress win in 1977 for her role in “Network” , Times photographer Jay L. Clendenin captured Curtis in the same location, but incorporated a few twists “to make it a ‘Jamie’ photo.”

Clendenin details how Curtis’ jam session came to be:
It’s amazing what a huge fan of photography Jamie is. We met in person years ago at the Toronto International Film Festival and were cosmically bonded the moment his eyes lit up and he realized we were both “JLC”. He took photos that day of him meeting Eddie Murphy, and we’ve chatted ever since. Regarding the “morning after photo”, I have been trying for years. It is a difficult conversation. You’re basically asking a publicist, “Hey, I don’t want to cast a spell on your team, but, Yeah you happen to win…could we take some photos the next morning?” And many times… they don’t win. I know it’s part of the awards race, but it’s still a big question, especially when none of you know who will win what.
I definitely expected Jamie to want it and I felt it would be a lot easier to talk her into the “if” part since she is known for not partying. She’s an early riser and often jokes about it, and that’s exactly what she did. She walked up the stairs to the Governors Ball, grabbed her Oscar award from her, and headed straight for the exit. It was on the way to the elevator that I whispered (begged!) that we should do something tomorrow (Monday) morning. She smiled, as if she was actually contemplating him, but she didn’t want to get my hopes up, she was on top of that wild night. The message the next morning was an incredible invitation, and I’m glad we were able to pull it off.
We had the Faye Dunaway photo in mind the whole time and knew we wanted to turn it into a “Jamie” photo, so I immediately proposed the latte and foam on her nose…she was very into it. She wanted it with some humor and humility, which is what I’ve come to know and love about the newly crowned JLC Oscar winner.
