Jamie Lee Curtis revealed that one of her children is transgender.

The 62-year-old icon sat down with AARP magazine where, with her youngest child’s permission, she describes some family changes.

Curtis noted that she and her husband Christopher Guest “watched with wonder and pride as our son became our daughter Ruby.”

Curtis also shared that Ruby — formerly known as Thomas — would soon be walking down the aisle as well.

“And she and her fiancé are getting married next year at a wedding I’ll be leading,” the Halloween star added.

Ruby, 25, is a computer game editor and Curtis and Guest also have a 34-year-old daughter, Annie, who is a dance instructor.

Jamie Lee rejected the ‘old idea’ that gender is not fixed and instead leans on the idea that life is a ‘constant metamorphosis’.

And as wedding bells start to ring in the family soon, Curtis told the publication she has no grandchildren: “Not yet, but I hope so.”

Curtis also discussed being sober for 22 years after secretly battling an addiction to painkillers and alcohol.

She explained that “the sober person process puts you in a one-day mentality.”

Jamie stood proud of her status, commenting that she was, “just a down-to-earth person – flawed, contradictory, broken and redeemed.”

Her sobriety journey has taught her comfort to live for each day and let go of the past.

“I’m someone who sheds every day,” she says. ‘Let’s get rid of that, I don’t need that. It’s all about old ideas that don’t work anymore.’

Earlier this year she wrote on Instagram: “I am breaking the circle that has basically destroyed the lives of generations in my family.

“Getting sober remains my greatest achievement… bigger than my husband, bigger than both my children and bigger than any work, success, failure. Something.’
