Jamie Lee Curtis was moved as she reflected on her film Freakier Friday in an emotional Instagram post.
In the snap shared on Friday, the Halloween actress, 65, was wearing a striped button-down shirt that Lindsay Lohan, 38, had gifted her.
“Last FRIDAY of this STRANGEEST FRIDAY or should I call it CRYING DAY,” her caption began.
‘We still have a couple days left next week, but it’s almost over and this morning when I got to work and saw the hundreds of people gathered to make it for the fans, filming the movie in California, I was especially grateful to my ULTIMATE movie daughter @lindsaylohan, without whom we could not have made this movie. Ever.
She continued: ‘I’m off to the wig and back to work. Thanks for everything. LOVE!’
Jamie Lee Curtis got emotional when she took to Instagram to share a picture she took before heading to the set of Freakier Friday on Friday.
Lindsay replied: ‘So much and gratitude for YOU and for this WONDERFUL experience and for many future fun times together! ‘
In Freakier Friday, Curtis and Lohan reprise their roles as Tess and Anna, respectively, more than two decades after they swapped bodies in the beloved 2003 film, which was a remake of the 1976 movie starring Jodie Foster.
In the sequel, Anna now has a daughter and a future stepdaughter. But soon, mother and daughter discover that switching bodies is not a once-in-a-lifetime occurrence.
At a Disney D23 conference earlier this month, Curtis said People The movie is ‘‘A love letter to mothers and daughters.’
“It’s so beautiful to see all three generations in this,” Lohan added. “It’s so beautiful to see how Anna looks to Tess for advice. But then Tess still wants to come and give her the advice.
Lohan continued: “And Anna has become a bit like Tess in that way… which is what happens in life. You always become a bit like your mom!”
The Parent Trap actress also said: ‘I think we’ve become a lot closer since then. Especially on this film.
“Lindsay was 15 or 16 when we did Freaky Friday. And it was a huge success. It was a huge success for both of us,” Curtis added.

When the outlet asked who she would swap bodies with in real life, Lohan said, ‘‘Maybe my baby,’ referring to her one-year-old son Luai, whom she shares with husband Bader Shammas.
“Just seeing him, because he’s so pure and so happy, just seeing life through his eyes, every day. He’s a beautiful bundle of joy. I can’t think of anything else,” she said.
Meanwhile, Curtis has bigger dreams of changing bodies, literally. The 5’7″ star would like to experience what it’s like to play in the WNBA.
“I want to be Caitlin Clark for a day. I want to play basketball like Caitlin Clark,” says the actress, adding: “It’s my lucky number, 22.”
