Jamie Foxx says she will speak candidly about recent events in her life as she promotes her upcoming What Had Happened Was… special on Netflix.

“I can’t say enough that I’m blessed to be able to tell my story my way and thank so many people for praying…” Foxx, 56, said Sunday on Instagram.

The Terrell, Texas native thanked fans in Atlanta, where he returned to the stage.

‘Big shout out to Atlanta, you showed up and showed yourself, you made me feel at home, you made me feel safe after 18 years of not being on stage, you made me feel like it was yesterday…can’t wait for y’all experience the vibe. that we had,” said the Oscar-winning actor.

Foxx said of filming the special: “It was like going to church…we laughed…we had a few tears…but last but not least, we celebrated life…and second chances.. “We can’t wait.”

Choke No Joke, producer and director, told Comedy Hype’s youtube account October 7th he was in the first and third show.

Choke No Joke said Foxx identified himself as “the FBI caller” Combs, 54, who has been in custody since his September arrest in New York City in connection with federal sex trafficking allegations.

Foxx said in a serious tone during one of the shows that ‘Diddy was responsible for what happened to him,’ Choke No Joke told.

Foxx was in hiding for fear of retaliation from Combs, Choke No Joke said, citing how the actor quickly returned to the spotlight after Combs was arrested on Sept. 16, attending a Dallas Cowboys practice the following week.

Choke No Joke added: ‘And now he just went and filmed his special. And who is the special heavily based on? ‘Diddy.’

Big Homie.CC, who is a famous bodyguard, said in an October 19 exchange with Cam Capone News who believes Foxx was “poisoned” by Combs last year, leading to a long period of recovery and convincing Foxx to present information to authorities about Combs.

Another attendee, Dennis LA White, told the outlet that he had been to the last two shows and believes Foxx distanced Combs from his health issues in his monologues.

White said Foxx said something like: ‘People keep asking me if Diddy was responsible. He was not responsible. If he was, he would have been dead.

Foxx announced the shows on his social media on September 2, saying he would take the stage to share his journey through a serious health issue, full of humor, heart and inspiration!

The ad read: “Experience Jamie Foxx like never before in this intimate and engaging performance, as he talks about his struggles, triumphs and everything in between.” Prepare for a night of laughter, reflection and genuine connection.”

In a preview of the show, which was directed by Hamish Hamilton, Foxx said: “I said, ‘If I can stay funny, then I can stay alive.’ I’m back.”

The comedy event is one of several upcoming projects the A-list actor has on the books, as he headlines the comedy film Back in Action for the streaming service in a reunion with Any Given Sunday and his Annie co-star Cameron Diaz . The film is expected to begin streaming on January 17, 2025.

What Had Happened Was… is scheduled to debut on Netflix on December 10.
