  • Jamie Carragher was on Dortmund’s iconic yellow wall throughout the match.

Jamie Carragher emerged from Borussia Dortmund’s famous yellow wall to conduct an interview with Jadon Sancho that left fans watching at home hysterical.

CBS continued its unique approach to soccer coverage, as Carragher got into the mix with home fans in Wednesday’s Champions League semi-final first leg against PSG.

Carragher was seen drinking beers as he enjoyed the match with the Dortömund fans, who had a lot to cheer about when Niclas Fullkrug claimed a 1-0 victory that night.

The former Liverpool defender returned to more familiar surroundings when he spoke to his colleagues in the studio after the game with Peter Schmeichel.

“Are you sober enough to do this, Jamie?” Kate Abdo asked, a little worried.

“You know that’s a really good point,” he responded. ‘I haven’t eaten too much. I had a cheeseburger around two thirty.

‘That might explain why I’m slurring my words because I’ve had about eight pints at the yellow wall. I have a new family, a family and friends. We all took care of each other.

Fans were then treated to the fun interaction when Carragher spotted Sancho and stopped him for an interview.

Placing his arm around the man of the night’s match, Carragher said: “I’ve just been on the yellow wall. You obviously know this very well. That was one of the best experiences of my life.’

Carragher admitted he didn’t have the best eyesight but told Sancho that his fellow experts, including Thierry Henry, were raving about him as the camera focused on Henry, who had his head in his hands.

“I’ve found a new family, new friends,” Carragher continued. “They bought me pints of beer all night.
