Sydney Roosters fullback James Tedesco and his new wife Maria Glinellis are expecting their first child.
The newlywed couple shared the good news in a joint announcement on Instagram on Tuesday.
Our family is growing! We can’t wait to meet our girl in October,” they wrote in the caption.
In the accompanying photo, James could be seen gently rocking his wife’s growing baby bump.
A second slide showed an ultrasound of their little girl kicking away in the womb.

The couple’s announcement was soon flooded with well wishes from their famous friends.

The couple married in January in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, surrounded by family and friends.
They enjoyed their engagement party at the Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel in Sydney.
They celebrated until the wee hours with cocktails, heartfelt speeches, a DJ and the cutting of a statement cake.
In July, James, who won the 2019 Dally M Player of the Year Award, spent $5 million on a sprawling house in Sydney’s Hunters Hill where the couple will live.
The captain of NSW Blues and Roosters purchased the five-bedroom, five-bathroom property in June along with his fiancé, The Daily Telegraph reported.

The pair have rarely spoken publicly about their relationship, but Maria has often posted pictures of them together on social media.
The Glinellis family are hospitality entrepreneurs and co-owners of Ironwood Coffee on Sydney’s lower north coast.
