James Middleton, brother of the Princess of Wales Kate Middleton, shared a heartfelt message on Instagram on the occasion of his sister’s 43rd birthday and at the same time reflected on the challenges and joys of life. Along with family photos, James revealed how he and his family started the New Year and talked about his personal journey to overcome the “January blues.”
in his publicationJames spoke about how the winter season often affects him, saying: “The January blues used to get to me a lot… and to some extent still do – the lingering after-effects of the festive season and the long dark nights mixed with new ideas. too ambitious. Year’s resolutions mean that I feel like I’m just trying to survive and it’s just the beginning of the year…”
However, James shared a more positive outlook that he adopted a few years ago. Inspired by his dogs, he explained his new mantra: “Don’t spend every moment thinking about the next or the past. The past is imperfect, the future will be too: take each day as a new day, you can be excited about the future… the past won’t care!”
James continued: “We started the New Year with an adventure in the mountains. “We were lucky to be surrounded by blue skies and cold, crisp air.” She also shared an emotional moment about her young son, Iñigo, noting, “I can’t believe how fast Iñigo is growing up; in fact, that’s what scares me the most… I’m afraid if I blink I’ll miss him…”
Despite the challenges of time passing quickly, James reflected on the importance of making memories with his family, just as he does with his dogs. “But just like with dogs, we include him in all our adventures creating memories that we take each day as it comes…”
The emotional post came on the day his sister, Kate, celebrated her 43rd birthday, adding a personal touch to James’ reflections. His message was both a tribute to his family and an expression of his desire to live in the moment, making the most of the time he has with his loved ones.
