He frankly admitted arriving at the second UK lockdown in November to see ‘how big’ he could get.
And James Haskell showed off his shredded physique, revealing his 19-pound weight loss on Wednesday as a result of the third nationwide lockdown.
The rugby ace turned MMA pro, 35, documented his progress as he gave credit to his wife Chloe Madeley, 33, for coming up with an infallible feeding plan that he would adhere to while at home in Northamptonshire.
Commitment: James Haskell revealed on Wednesday he lost 19 pounds as he revealed his shredded physique after spending the previous lockdown to see ‘how big’ he could get
In the comparison shots, James showed off his wavy abs and chiseled limbs as he boldly stuck out his tongue, a stark contrast to the relaxed physique photo taken last year.
He wrote: ‘I was bored in lockdown 2 and saw how big I could get. 130 kg ✌️.
Lockdown 3 I’ve gone the other way. I have been indoors for 8 weeks and have gone from 122 kg to 113 kg.
‘I trained remotely with @altius_pt. That was mega, well thought out and precisely programmed. The idea is to get thinner every now and then and slowly rebuild over the next week.

The personal trainer wore a few more pink underwear as she showcased her defined figure.
She gave fans an insight into her personal journey and explained that she doesn’t always stick to her calorie deficit and therefore doesn’t maintain her physique.
She wrote: ‘2017, 4 weeks pre-shoot, not quite there yet but damn close to the finish. One of many before and after that I have like this one running the length of 2013-2019.
Recently I was asked, “If you KNOW the science behind it, why not just keep your physique?” Great question, multiple answers …
‘I often maintain it for a few weeks / months in a row and then 1 of 2 things happen … 1. I’m going on vacation. “So? You are now on 2000kcal, which is easy to maintain compared to a terrible shortage!”
Well, everything is easy compared to a primitive deficit. But do you know what’s even EASIER to stick to than 2000kcal while on vacation? 3000kcal.
‘Guess what? Being lean + a calorie surplus + reduced activity x 2 weeks = regaining body fat.
“Just because you know what you’re doing doesn’t mean you’ll never gain body fat again, ESPECIALLY if you’re lean and your body wants to EAT all the food and SAVE all the fat from YESTERDAY.”
She continued, ‘Don’t believe me, look at the body fat recovery of some of the greatest physique and elite athletes of all time.
2017: Chloe gave fans an insight into her personal journey and explained that various factors, such as vacations, would affect her calorie intake
No one ESCAPES basic biology or real life just because they know how to AVOID it. Well, the naturally long and slender one can, but the naturally curvy curves can’t do without almost constant effort.
‘And a vacation is not for exertion IMO. 2. The leaner you stay, the less and less likely to progressive overload in terms of both performance and hypertrophy.
‘This is not a problem if you are satisfied with your physique and your training. But if you have PROGRESSIVE workout and body building goals?
‘A very good tool in your tool belt is to regain body fat. I don’t mean get fat as fuck, I mean say goodbye to the shredded abs in your quest for serious PROFIT.
And with muscle growth comes fat gain. NOW, don’t read this wrong, I had to get that much fat (left is about 20lbs from right, let’s face it, I could have stopped at 10am) NO and neither do you, but sometimes we go a little too far and guess once?
THAT’S OK TOO! This is when the knowledge comes out and 12 weeks later … shredsville 2.0. Again please don’t read this as a pro yo-yo post, it’s not, it’s a pro real life post ❤️ ‘.
