James Blunt took to social media on Tuesday to joke about the fun task he will be given if England lose to Switzerland on Saturday.
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, the 50-year-old singer reposted a video of Ed Sheeran serenading the Three Lions.
He hilariously captioned the post: “And I’m forced to do the same if they lose to Switzerland.”
Fans then flocked to the comments section to praise the star, claiming her prank was “well done.”
One fan commented with a clapping gif that read: “Well played sir.”

This comes after England’s stars were treated to a private performance from Ed as they enjoyed some time off from their Euro 2024 campaign.
The singing sensation was filmed performing a cover of The A-Team for the team and staff after a warm-up session on Monday.

The 33-year-old, who has been attending England’s matches at this tournament, also paid them a personal visit at Euro 2020 ahead of their final against Italy.

This comes after Ed was filmed performing a version of his song ‘The A-Team’ for the England team following a warm-up session on Monday.
Ed was present for the 1-1 draw with Denmark in the group stage, as well as the thrilling 2-1 win over Slovakia on Sunday.
When the Three Lions were 1-0 down after just 25 minutes, he struggled to hide his shock as the nation feared England could go out of the tournament with a whimper.

He was also asked if he had joined other fans in singing the “hey Jude” chant to Jude Bellingham, stating that he had not but promised to do so “next time”.
