Jameela Jamil is getting into the bad date mess for her upcoming podcast, and it looks like the series’ NSFW mayhem has found its way into the star’s recent morning show appearances.
Jamil, known for “The Good Place” and “She-Hulk,” appeared on Tuesday’s “Today” show to promote it “Bad Dates” Podcast. When he talked about a “booty call” gone wrong, he left hosts Craig Melvin, Sheinelle Jones and Dylan Dreyer laughing and Al Roker speechless.
“He collapsed three steps, broke all his front teeth,” Jamil told the “Today” gang. “They flew through my apartment.”
Jamil said the man collapsed because he had “misused” an erectile dysfunction medication. When he got to this point in his story, Melvin, Jones, and Dreyer were all laughing in shock. Roker, on the other hand, didn’t seem so amused.
A serious Roker stared into the camera. He could also be seen pursing his lips when Melvin told Jamil that this was the “worst” dating story.
Roker then tried to keep the segment moving, asking Jamil if a bad date “makes you appreciate good dates.”
“100% yes,” Jamil replied. “And some of these bad dates led to 25-year marriages.”
After Melvin tried to revise Jamil’s story, Roker shifted focus to the actor’s new story. exercise effort.
“Today” wasn’t the only morning show to get caught up in the obscenities on Jamil’s new podcast. On Wednesday the actor appeared in “The view,” where he cursed and talked about flatulence.
While promoting “Bad Dates,” Jamil reflected on his own dating habits, including the way he doesn’t get intimate with his partners until he’s been in a relationship for months.
“I just don’t want to see your (genitals) until I’m done,” she said, earning laughs from co-host Sara Haines and audience members.
Like Roker, “The View” co-host Whoopi Goldberg looked offscreen at a producer before adding, “I think a lot of people can relate to that.”
Co-host Sunny Hostin tried to get things under control after seeing “our executive producer looking like he’s about to die.”
“I was about to die 10 minutes ago,” Goldberg joked. “It’s OK now”.
Hostin then asked Jamil about any tips he’d like to share with “The View” audiences and any red flags they should avoid. The reality TV star praised the therapy before sharing some strange wisdom.
“Never, never… never trust a fart,” he said. “Sometimes it turns into something else and we just don’t need to get into it because this is morning TV.”
Even after Haines shifted his focus to Jamil’s I Weigh campaign, “The View” was not safe from profanity. Jamil spoke about his views on exercise, which he said can be “exclusive” and “elitist.”
“You have to dress a certain way in…” he said before swearing and then immediately covering his mouth with his hands. As Jamil apologized to the audience, Hostin and Goldberg gestured to executive producer Brian Teta.
“Now he’s on the court,” Goldberg said. The camera turned to Teta, to whom Jamil also apologized.
“Kids, that is very bad language,” Jamil said.
Taking to social media, Jamil poked fun at his recent morning show appearances and reposted a clip of his appearance on “Today.” On Instagram.
“OMG this is why I shouldn’t be allowed to be on Live TV,” he captioned the snippet.
