Jake Paul’s private jet was struck by lightning while flying home after his press conference in New York before fighting Mike Tyson in July.
The YouTuber-turned-boxer shared a video of his plane, reportedly worth around £30million, shaking violently as an electric shock crackled outside.
Paul and Tyson will meet at the 80,000-capacity AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, on July 20 in an exhibition fight broadcast live on Netflix.
Surrounded by his friends and holding his golden retriever, Thor, he decided not to talk to God, but prayed to an ancient Greek idol.
“We woke up the gods of war and (there’s) lightning on the plane, brother,” he began in an Instagram video before a fierce crack shook the plane.

He made a prayer sign with his hands and asked the Greek deity Zeus to come to his rescue.
His private jet is worth around £30million and is one of his many fast toys.
‘Oh shit! Zeus, I love you brother,’ he said, clasping his hands in prayer.
Luckily, Paul managed to return safely to dry land, as he later shared the video and wrote: “The walk home from the press was interesting.” A smiley face emoji confirmed his carefree spirit.
One fan joked in the comments that Paul was trying to escape the fight with Tyson. “My boy tries to fake his death so he doesn’t have to fight,” they wrote.
Another compared the lightning bolt to the former unified heavyweight champion himself, saying: “Mike Tyson’s first punch.”
The fight between Tyson, 57, and Paul has generated a lot of controversy and opinions.
Boxing legend Roy Jones Jr, who fought Iron Mike in the £63million fight billed as the ‘Lockdown Knockdown’ in 2020, warned of Tyson’s brute strength.
“Mike Tyson is still the hardest puncher I’ve ever been in the ring with,” he told Shane Mosley.
‘The first time it hit me in the chest, it felt like a mule had kicked my chest.

Paul replied: ‘I love you, I love you as a father loves his son, but I must discipline you.’ You’re going to fall, old man.
