Jake Paul may not be fighting Mike Tyson in boxing’s main event on Saturday, but that doesn’t mean there won’t be fireworks with his new opponent, Mike Perry.
During Friday’s pre-fight showdown, Paul and Perry engaged in the traditional sparring match, exchanging plenty of trash talk with each other. The conversation almost ended in fisticuffs.
Perry put his hands on Paul first, and Paul gave Perry a much harder push, sending him backwards.
Security surrounded both men, quickly placing themselves between the combatants before the physical confrontation escalated.
It took several security members to prevent Perry from having the opportunity to hit Paul before the fight officially began.

Paul energized the crowd after pushing Mike Perry, forcing security to intervene.
As security restrained Perry, Paul cheered on the crowd and seemed happy with himself.
“It was light. It flew like six feet,” Paul said after the confrontation.
Paul also claimed that UFC president Dana White would give Perry a contract if he knocks him out in the fight.
“You can break the fucking contract because I’m going to fuck Mike Perry up,” Paul said. “Anybody you send me, any of your MMA fighters, they’re going to be fucked up. They’ve been trying to kill me.”
“They don’t want me in this sport,” Paul continued. “They hate that I run this sport. But when they try to kill a guy like me, it only makes me bigger. I’m on a mission from God.”
Perry is also using the publicity of being Mike Tyson’s replacement to promote himself and his new promotion, Dirty Boxing Championship, which will be a combination of Muay Thai, boxing and MMA.
Paul has fought Ben Askren, Tyron Woodley, Nate Diaz and Anderson Silva, all of whom have UFC experience and a professional record of 9-1.
