Jake Paul revealed in a new video posted on X that he will support Donald Trump

Jake Paul has revealed who he supports in the 2024 US presidential election – although he admitted he can’t actually take part himself.

The boxer, who gave up his right to vote when he moved to Puerto Rico, published a 18 minute video about X Thursday in which he explained why he wanted Donald Trump to be president.

In the clip, Paul, 27, mentions the economy, border control and even transgenderism as topics that have influenced his thinking toward Trump.

He also told his fans that “God has sent me here to tell you this message,” while encouraging them to do their own research.

‘Look at the facts. Think for yourself. Don’t be a sheep in this world full of sheep,’ he said.

“I’m putting my business, my career on the line during my heyday before I fight Mike Tyson… because I don’t give a damn what the consequences are.”

Paul admitted that Tony Hinchcliffe’s widely criticized “trash” comment about Puerto Rico at Trump’s Madison Square Garden rally was a “bad joke.”

Nonetheless, Paul encouraged fans to “do the right thing and vote for Donald Trump.”

“Most of your favorite celebrities, athletes, all of them are secretly conservative because the left has created a world where conservatives like me speaking out have very, very important consequences.”

He added that he expected negative reactions to the video, but that he was not afraid of the “left-liberal media.”

Paul also brought up the issue of abortion, saying that women have the same amount of rights now as they did when Trump began his presidency, despite Roe v. Wade was overturned in 2022 (a move that was aided by Trump’s conservative appointees to the Supreme Court). .

The YouTuber-turned-wrestler then encouraged women concerned about abortion to not be “single-issue voters.”

The endorsement isn’t very surprising after he called New York a “dumb Democrat town” while promoting his upcoming fight with Tyson in the Big Apple.

Paul also previously said that God saved Trump when he survived an assassination attempt earlier this year.

“I think God intervened and saved him,” he said. “It’s literally ‘what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.'”

“And I think that’s probably also why God made this exact situation happen: because he saw the path we were going down,” the YouTuber-turned-boxer said at the time.

Additionally, Paul posted a video of him and Trump jokingly facing off in July, along with a message of support for the former president.

“We need Trump to knock out all of his opponents on Election Day to save America from more unnecessary wars, the woke agenda, and preserve free speech,” Paul captioned the post. “Make sure you exercise your right to vote.”

Trump was also interviewed by Paul’s brother Logan on his ‘Impaulsive’ podcast in June.

Jake and Tyson, 58, will fight on November 15 in Texas.
