Jake Paul has told Ryan Garcia he will be angry with him as a friend if the troubled boxer is found to have knowingly taken performance-enhancing drugs.
Garcia, 25, tested positive for the banned substance Ostarine the day before and the day of his victory over Devin Haney on April 20, and boxing journalist Dan Rafael broke the news earlier this week.
He has cast a long shadow over a victory that was considered the best of his career to date, after knocking down Haney three times on his way to a majority decision win.
Since his positive tests came to light on Wednesday, Garcia has been protesting his innocence on social media, insisting that he has never knowingly used performance-enhancing drugs.
And on Friday night the fighter did it once again while on Instagram live with his good friend Paul, who confronted him about his failed tests.

Garcia tested positive for the banned substance Ostarine the day before and the day of his victory over Devin Haney on April 20.
Paul, the YouTuber-turned-fighter who will face boxing legend Mike Tyson this summer, first asked Garcia about requesting a B-sample test, giving him another chance to clear his name.
‘Bro, I’ll p*** into a cup right now,’ he replied. ‘I don’t use steroids, bro. Can anyone help me here? I don’t take steroids.’
Paul said: “It’s just hard when you showed up for them.”
He then asked Garcia how the banned substance ended up in his system if he had never knowingly used banned substances.
“Brother, there’s only one way,” he replied. “If all my tests came back clean up until the day before my fight and the day after… they’re obviously setting me up, bro.”
“But Ryan…if you did it, then that’s really fucked up, bro,” Paul responded. And I will be angry with you as a friend. That’s fucked up, bro.’
Garcia proceeded to tell Paul that he would quit boxing if he ever felt the need to take banned substances.
He has come under heavy criticism after testing positive, with UFC legend Conor McGregor telling him to “get your head together or you will kill yourself” in a chilling message on social media.
Paul confronted Garcia about his failed drug tests while they were on Instagram live together this week.
Garcia isn’t letting the news get him down after he was spotted partying in Las Vegas on Friday.
Garcia also saw a possible justification for Ostarine being in his closed system this week, after suggesting it could have come from the Ashwagandha root supplement ‘Gaia Herbs’. However, the manufacturers subsequently took to social media to deny that their product contains Ostarine.
Despite this week’s revelation, Garcia refuses to let his failed drug tests get him down after he was spotted enjoying a night out in Las Vegas with a mystery woman on Friday.
Before his former partner Canelo Alvarez takes on Jaime Mungia on Saturday night, the social media sensation visited the famous Las Vegas Strip or had a night out at Zouk Nightclub.
He could be seen walking to the club at Resorts World Casino hand in hand with a mysterious brunette, who appeared to be the same woman he bought a $1.5 million engagement ring for last month.
The identity of this new love interest is still unclear, however, in a recent post that has since been deleted, Garcia can be seen discussing the price of the ring with a salesperson, who informs her that it was “$1.5 millions”.
