Jake Paul made a bold move after winning his match against Ryan Bourland and called out super middleweight champion Canelo Alvarez.
The former YouTuber turned boxer defeated Bourland, a former Golden Gloves champion, by single-round TKO.
After taking his professional record to 9-1 with two wins against established fighters, Paul set his sights on Alvarez.
‘I mean, he was supposed to give it to me, right? This guy has 19 fights, he has a lot of experience. I guess we have to try a lot harder,” Paul said on DAZN after the fight.
‘But I’m ready. I’m getting sharp. This is my life now and like I said, I’m on my way to becoming a world champion.

Paul won his match against Ryan Bourland by technical knockout at the end of the first round.
‘Canelo, stop bending over. I know what you want. “I represent Puerto Rico, you represent Mexico, so it’s Puerto Rico vs Mexico,” Paul continued.
‘I love Canelo’. I want all the biggest names. Like I said, I’m the face of this sport. Seriously, who does more for boxing than me? “I keep proving myself over and over again.”
Bourland didn’t put up much of a fight against Paul as the YouTube star continued to rack up punches throughout the first round.
After the former Golden Gloves champion finally stopped fighting back, the referee finally called a stoppage with 23 seconds left in the first round.
Despite criticizing Alvarez, who many would still consider out of his league, Paul remained tight-lipped about who he might step into a boxing ring against next.
‘We’ll see. It’s back to the drawing board. I don’t want to pay attention to anyone because a lot of these guys don’t want to sign the contract, especially when I keep doing things like this with all my opponents.
‘I’m on the road to the world championship and I want to continue fighting harder fights. If a fight arises over money, I’ll take it because they’re fun. But for now I’m still on the path of fighting real fighters and increasing the level of opposition.’
