Jaden Smith decided to go for a skateboard ride on Monday night after the Met Gala, which ended with him falling to the concrete.
The 25-year-old actor arrived on the 2024 Met Gala red carpet on Monday with his sister Willow, 23, wearing an elaborate black and white ensemble.
Some time after the annual party, Jaden put on a tank top with his same black pants and decided to skateboard through the rather empty streets.
He was chatting to photographers about the event before skateboarding away, with a bodyguard running alongside him, when he took a fall.
Smith was skateboarding down Fifth Avenue, just a few blocks from The Mark Hotel, where many celebrities stay when they’re in town for the Met’s annual party.
Jaden Smith decided to go for a skateboard ride on Monday night after the Met Gala, which ended with him falling to the concrete.
He was chatting with photographers about the event, according to TMZ, before skateboarding away, with a bodyguard running alongside him, when he took a fall.
He skateboarded alone, with a bodyguard dressed in a full suit running alongside the star for protection.
Jaden was gliding through the streets well, although when he tried to push himself off once, he fell to the cement, while the bodyguard rushed to help him up.
As the bodyguard rushed to retrieve the singer’s skateboard, Smith told photographers, “You better keep that!” They’d better keep that!’
One photographer is even heard saying, “I’ll do it, I’ll do it,” though Jaden took it in stride and told him, “Post it now, post it now” with a smile.
Jaden continued skating and told the photographer to post it now before approaching the photographers and telling them to stop following him.
‘Hey. Post that shit about me falling and get out of here,” Smith said with a laugh, adding, “You have your damn story, get out.” “I’m trying to be a real black, bro, I’m trying to skate, I just got out of the Met, let me go,” Smith said.
‘Go find someone more famous, I’m trying to skate. I’m trying to skate around town bro, stop this. I saw so many people inside, go look for them!’ Smith says.
Finally, the photographers leave and Jaden skates down a side street, his bodyguard jogging alongside him.

Smith is no stranger to skateboarding, and began practicing this activity as a child, which even appeared in a movie.
Jaden stars in the 2018 film Skate Kitchen, about a group of young skaters in New York City, with the actor playing the role of Devon.
He also made headlines in February, when he announced that he will soon release a new album, although it is still unclear when.
Jaden shared a photo of himself and his bikini-clad girlfriend, Sab Zada, in February, adding, “Soon the album will distract me.”
Smith hasn’t released an album since 2020’s CTV3: Cool Tape Volume 3, although he’ll go on tour this summer.
In March it was announced that Smith will be one of the support acts on Kid Cudi’s Insano world tour alongside Pusha T, Earthgang, Chelsea Pastel and Siena Bella.
The tour begins on June 28 at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas, and the North American leg will end on August 30 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
The European leg begins on February 25, 2025 in Oslo, Norway, and concludes on March 18 at The 02 in London.
