Jacqueline Jossa is ‘excited and concerned’ about the return of her EastEnders character Lauren Branning, husband Dan Osborne has revealed.
Dan, 32, told me The mirror that Jacqueline, 30, was ‘excited’ and ‘anxious’ to return to EastEnders after her last brief visit to The Square in June.
The former TOWIE star said Jacqueline is ‘excited to get back, she can’t wait.’
“For a long time she was worried that Lauren would be written back into it, but now she’s excited to go back. The time is right for her now, so it’s good.”
Jacqueline was the second actress to play Lauren Branning, the first daughter of the infamous Max Branning, and has done so since 2010.
Nervous: Jacqueline Jossa has mixed feelings about the return of her EastEnders character Lauren Branning, husband Dan Osborne has revealed
Speaking at the Thorpe Park FRIGHT NIGHTS 2023 launch eventDan says he probably won’t see her comeback.
“To be honest, I don’t watch much TV, it’s probably mostly Netflix or something like that.” He admitted. “But I’m sure the girls will watch bits.”
Dan and Jacqueline have two daughters together: Ella, 7, and Mia, 4. He also has son Teddy, 9, from a previous relationship.
Jacqueline has thrown herself into motherhood since leaving her role as Lauren, appearing as the character just twice since 2018.
The actress also won the nineteenth season of I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and was crowned Queen of the Jungle.
Lauren’s return was confirmed last week in a joint Instagram post from Jacqueline, EastEnders and the soap’s executive producer Chris Clenshaw.
Following the news, Jacqueline told the Sun: ‘It’s such a great time to be back as there’s so much buzz around EastEnders at the moment, and I’ve been watching and enjoying it as a fan.
‘Walford has such a special place in my heart, so it really feels like coming home.’
