Jackie ‘O’ Henderson’s “dream home” project has moved one step closer to reality.
The queen of radio, 49, took on the ambitious project that will involve the complete transformation of a beachfront house that she bought at an open auction in March 2023.
And almost two years after the KIIS FM star spent $13.25 million on the platform, the first signs of the transformation became evident on Saturday.
It seems that Clovelly residents within earshot of Jackie’s eventual new digs were in for quite a cacophonous weekend.
The spacious six-bedroom, three-story house that once stood on the site was completely demolished, leaving nothing but piles of bricks and rubble to be hauled away by bulldozers.
Photos of the site, now devoid of houses, showed a sloping facade leading to several stepped levels and the entire area now cordoned off with temporary fencing.

The queen of radio, 49, has taken on the ambitious project that will involve the complete transformation of a multi-story beachfront house that she bought at an open auction in March 2023.
The scene was a far cry from the 1960s house that once stood on the site.
An aerial photograph of the site revealed just how close Jackie will be to the stunning coastline.
The image showed the crystals in clear water just meters from what will eventually be Jackie’s front door.
The property is situated on a cliff top overlooking the ocean in the sought-after coastal neighborhood of Clovelly, which is 9km from the CBD.
Jackie also took to Instagram on Saturday to share videos of heavy construction equipment tearing down parts of the sprawling mansion.
In one clip, a large crane could be seen demolishing the walls of the original three-story home, which Jackie purchased for $13.25 million in March 2023.
Another clip showed a time lapse of the decades-old six-bedroom house being destroyed stage by stage as the site was prepared for construction.
“And so it begins,” Jackie captioned the post as she shared her excitement for the upcoming construction.

Earlier this year, Jackie teased fans with a sneak peek at her incredible design plans for her “dream home,” which is costing the star $5.05 million, according to now to love.
Taking to her Instagram in February, the KIIS FM star showed off her plans to create a chic space with a stunning multi-million dollar sea view.
Another image showed a beautiful outdoor pool built right on the coast and surrounded by sculpted gardens and palm trees.
Sharing snapshots of what she wanted her dream home to be, Jackie tagged the prestigious architects Madeleine Blanchfield, who are behind the impressive construction.
The photographs, from Madeleine Blanchfield’s previous projects, provided great inspiration to Jackie.
A spokesperson for Jackie said the images were “mock-ups of options for what her new home will look like.”
Jackie snapped up the property in March 2023 for a whopping $13.25 million at an open auction.
The house is set back from the road, offering Jackie the privacy she has not had in the narrow streets of her former home.

The famous media star had previously complained about intrusive paparazzi as a reason for selling her former home.
Jackie bought her new home after pocketing a hefty $2 million profit from the sale of her former home in Woollahra, after paying $11 million for it in 2020.
Jackie has returned to Australia in recent days after enjoying a sun-soaked pre-Christmas getaway to Thailand.
She flew to the picturesque destination with her 14-year-old daughter Kitty, whom she shares with her ex-husband, photographer Lee Henderson.
Jackie hasn’t shied away from sharing a series of photos from the idyllic trip on her Instagram page in recent days.
One photograph showed Jackie enjoying a swim in the warm waters of the Phi Phi Islands while enjoying a relaxing trip.
The radio queen showed off her incredible figure as she posed up a storm in a backless swimsuit in the black and white image.
In another shot, Jackie once again flaunted her enviable physique as she posed in a vibrant yellow swimsuit while enjoying a day at the beach.
The mother-daughter trip overseas came just days after Kitty celebrated her 14th birthday in Sydney earlier this month.
