Radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson returns on VERY awkward sex question during interview with married NRL star Latrell Mitchell

Radio host Jackie O’ Henderson turned red on Wednesday after asking an NRL player if he planned to “pick up” for the state of origin opener – only for the sportsman to clarify that he is married and has children.

Henderson and her co-host Kyle Sandilands were chatting with Latrell Mitchell of the South Sydney Rabbitohs and NSW Blues on The Kyle and Jackie O Show when they seemingly forgot he was in a committed relationship.

Mitchell, who was relaxing in Townsville with NSW teammates Addo-Carr and Damien Cook, was first asked by Sandilands if he was ‘cruising’ around town for ‘the talent’.

Clumsy! Radio host Jackie O’ Henderson (right, with Kyle Sandilands) was left red-faced on Wednesday after asking an NRL player if he planned to “record” for the State of Origin opener – just for the sportsman to clarify that he is married and has children

Henderson, 46, laughed and said, “Can you pick up for Origin day?”

Unbeknownst to the radio hosts, Mitchell is actually married and has children.

Sandilands, amused by his co-host’s blunder, said, “Isn’t that what their wives have a problem with? You know his wife is listening [to the show], Jackie? Why don’t you say hello?’

“I’m married, I’m married,” Mitchell said.

Henderson seemed genuinely sorry for the gaffe and apologized to Mitchell.

The rugby star is married to his long-term partner Brielle Mercy, with whom he shares two children.

Their second child, Aleena, was born last April.

Mitchell will make a big return to the NSW Origin side after being dropped in controversial circumstances after the opening match of 2019.

The Blues are trying to reclaim an Origin win after losing last year’s series.

Sandilands closed the interview with a motivational speech to the Maroons, saying, “Just go out and smash these guys.”
