Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has revealed she was approached to head to the jungle for popular Channel Ten reality series I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here!
The radio Queen, 49, admitted this on her Kyle and Jackie O show on Monday after co-host Kyle Sandilands apparently mocked her appearance on the show last week.
Jackie’s caller, Kylie, asked if producers had approached her about appearing on the 2025 season.
“No, I wasn’t,” Jackie revealed before admitting, “I’ve been before, but no, they didn’t approach me (this year).”
Kyle later claimed that the show was for celebrities whose stars are on the decline, a sentiment shared by many viewers after the show’s premiere Sunday night.
“They’re just celebrities who have no career, or a career that ended years ago,” Kyle said.

Jackie refuted Kyle’s claim and mentioned iconic cricketer Shane Warne’s appearance in 2016.
“We’re not talking about 12 years ago, we’re talking about this year,” Kyle responded.
Referring to the current generation of celebrities, Kyle added: ‘All these people don’t have jobs. I want to see them, don’t get me wrong, they are not bad celebrities.
“But you have to be in a certain situation in life to go to the jungle: desperate.”
He continued: “Warnie got paid $2 million, we’re all going to go to the jungle for even half of that, let’s be real.”
Jackie’s admission comes after viewers criticized the season 11 premiere of I’m A Celebrity on Sunday night.
Viewers took to social media to criticize the show as “unfunny” and brand the 2025 crop of celebrity contestants as “nobodies.”
The 2025 series features Love Island star Tina Provis, footballer Zach Tuohy, comedian Geraldine Hickey, TV star Nicky Buckley and influencer Max Balegde.

Admitting as much on Monday’s Kyle and Jackie O show, Queen radio revealed that while she wasn’t on the producer’s radar for the current season, she had been approached in the past.

“They’re just celebrities who don’t have a career, or a career that ended years ago,” co-host Kyle Sandilands added.
Also starring are Married At First Sight’s Samantha Moitzi, Olympian Shayna Jack, comedian Dave Hughes and rugby league player Sam Thaiday.
Reality stars Reggie Bird, of Big Brother fame, and former Bachelor Matty Johnson round out the list.
However, not all viewers were entertained and several shared their thoughts on X.
‘The lowest common denominator among the desperate past. Can’t they invest in Australian actors, directors and writers? one person wrote.
“Biggest load of crap ever,” said another, while another posted: “Some of Julia’s jokes are older than me.” And not so fun.
‘Up to this point I have only heard of four of the celebrities. Lowest ever for me,” someone else chimed in.
‘Look at them looking at each other trying to figure out who they are. Absolutely no idea,’ said one more.
“This has to be the worst so-called celebrity casting ever,” someone else posted.

‘At this point, Raygun would have been a great addition, who are these people?’ said one viewer.
‘Yes, this show peaked last year and the fall from grace is extreme. No more #ImACelebrityAU for me,” wrote another.
Last year, I’m A Celebrity was said to have been on the chopping block until an addition to the jungle series was made to save the ratings.
Daily Mail Australia exclusively revealed the show, which features celebrities living in the jungle with few amenities, was not expected to return last year.
According to an inside source, host Julia Morris told a close friend that she wasn’t sure the show would air again until Robert Irwin found out about the series.
