Jackie ‘O’ Henderson has emotionally revealed that she went to rehab for drug and alcohol addiction.
The radio host, 49, made the tearful revelation while speaking to her co-host Kyle Sandilands on his KIIS FM radio show on Thursday morning.
She first revealed that she was in rehab in November 2022, when she took an extended break from the Kyle and Jackie O Show to focus on her health.
Now, he has detailed how he was fighting addiction to painkillers, sleeping pills and alcohol at the Betty Ford clinic in California.
She revealed she went “back and forth” over whether to share the news publicly before bravely sharing her struggle with addiction this week.
“I was afraid to tell people and say it out loud, I know that people will look at me differently and love me,” he revealed on his radio show.
“I was in a very, very dark place.”
“That’s what addiction to your brain is all about, it changes the way you think, it doesn’t want you to seek help, it’s so powerful,” she continued through tears.
