Jackie Mason, whose comedy style was unmistakably and uniquely his own, has died aged 93.
The borscht belt comedian died in a hospital in Manhattan, New York City, as confirmed by his longtime friend, attorney Raoul Felder, at the New York Times.
In the tradition of Don Rickles and Rodney Dangerfield, Mason’s biting and biting comedy was also undeniably Jewish, helping him establish himself as a cultural touchstone for those to follow, including Larry David and Jerry Seinfeld.
