Icons of oscar! is an incredible collection of photos by renowned photographer Oscar Abolafia, managed by Lannoo Publishers.

The photos were taken many decades ago in a different era, for photo shopping and retouching craziness. In many cases, the recordings are spontaneous and have little preparation to comfortably capture the true essence of a star.

Some of the lighter names in the 248 page book are Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Farrah Fawcett, Priscilla Presley, Frank Sinatra and Elizabeth Taylor.

Jacqueline Kennedy was one of the most private celebrities of her time. But there were huge intrigues about the woman who was married to President John F Kennedy (from 1953 to 1963) and then the Greek shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis (from 1968 to 1975).
