The Karate Kid star hopped on his main Instagram page to celebrate his 70th birthday and also explained the reasoning behind his change in appearance.
Along with a series of throwback pictures, the actor, who received a special tribute from Will Smith, wrote, ‘Not long ago, many friends saw some recent photos on the Internet, and they were all worried about my health.’
‘I want to take this opportunity to let everyone know, don’t worry! It’s just an appearance in character for my latest movie,’ Chan revealed.
“The character requires me to have white hair, a white beard and look old.”
“Over the years, I’ve always been willing to try new things for a film, no matter if it’s a challenging stunt or an innovative look for a character.”
Jackie added that she has worked “in the entertainment business for 62 years and I cherish every moment because I’m lucky I’m still filming today.”
