- Cherries boss Jason Tindall said Wilshere “looks sharp” in practice
Jack Wilshere impressed Bournemouth boss Jason Tindall so much during practice that he could soon earn a short-term contract with the championship.
The former West Ham and Arsenal midfielder, who was on loan with the Cherries in 2016-17, has worked hard to keep his fitness up as he looks for his next club.
Wilshere severed ties with the Hammers over the summer and has been plotting his next move ever since.
Jack Wilshere impressed during training in Bournemouth and he may be offered a deal
The 29-year-old has worked with the Cherries to improve his fitness, but manager Tindall admits it would be ‘foolish’ not to strike a deal to take him back.
He told talkSPORT: ‘Jack still trains with us, he trains well, he looks good and it’s really good to have him.
“ It’s a situation we’ll continue to monitor for the next two weeks and we’ll see where Jack stands and what we feel as a club in terms of what would be best to move forward.
If you have a player of Jack’s quality with you and you can get a closer look, it would be silly to say there is no chance you want to do anything.

He added: ‘It’s just a matter of seeing where he is, if we think he can be an asset to us in the second half of the season, and then make a decision based on all the variables.
‘We didn’t have that conversation, but Jack had a great time here, he loved being back here and he has a great relationship with all the players and staff.
“We’ll just have to see it and maybe we’ll have a discussion in the next week.”
The former England international had previously spoken about a move abroad
Wilshere had previously talked about moving abroad, particularly the MLS and La Liga that appealed to him.
And West Brom was recently deemed to be interested in his signature as well.
But it looks like the seamless way he’s fitted into Bournemouth’s lineup could do things in their favor.
They are currently third in the table, five points behind leader Norwich.
