But last week, BLM co-founder Patrisse Cullors went largely unnoticed when she was seen patiently waiting at the deli counter for her sandwich at upscale Gelson’s supermarket in Calabasas.
As these exclusive and candid photos from DailyMail.com show, the activist, 40, now lives a comfortable and low-key life in Los Angeles, despite previously claiming she was forced to hire security and drivers for her own safety.
Cullors, who was accompanied by her young son, was makeup-free and wore a flowy pink poncho from Adidas and Crocs to go shopping.

At one point, the mother-son duo grabbed a table at Gelson’s outdoor dining room for a late lunch.
He seemed to know the store well, navigating his shopping cart through the aisles while the boy clung to him with one hand.

Cullor’s distinctive mole on his forehead, as well as his various tattoos, including the “line” tattoo that runs from his chin to his chest and ends with the numbers “818,” were visible during the outing.
She also wore the same nose ring that she has been seen sporting in recent Instagram posts.
After lunch, the two were seen heading to the car, but were briefly detained after their son left his iPhone on the table.
The doting mother was heard telling the boy to be careful and “look both ways” as she walked back to the parking lot.

In May 2022, a pregnant Candace Owens showed up at Cullors’ doorstep with a camera crew for a comment about her real estate portfolio that was in the news.
Owens was only able to speak to one staff member at the door. Cullors claimed that Owens was bullying and harassing her and that she was living in fear.
Two years later, she seems to have overcome her fears and goes out to do normal mommy things, like shopping.
