Jack Black shows off a bushy gray beard and unruly hair as Tenacious D rocks the stage in North Carolina
Jack Black put on an energetic performance with his band Tenacious D in North Carolina on Wednesday night.
The actor, who recently turned 54, wore a multicolored tie-dye T-shirt with equally loud shorts.
He looked every bit like a rock star with his acoustic guitar in one hand and his microphone in the other in front of the audience at the PNC Music Pavillion.
As always, Jack’s wedding band took center stage; he has been married to 51-year-old artist Tanya Harden since 2006.
This performance was the last of Tenacious D’s Spicy Meatball Tour, which began in May.

This appearance comes days after Jack was spotted in a similarly daring outfit.
When Jack is not with his band, he shows support for the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strikes by Hollywood actors and writers.
He was spotted in the picket line outside Paramount Studios in Hollywood wearing a black T-shirt that reads “SAG-AFTRA strong” on it.
The Jumanji star also wore a wide-brimmed black hat and dark sunglasses to further hide his identity.
Earlier this year, he appeared in The Super Mario Bros. Movie, one of the highest grossing films of this year.
Next year, Jack will reprise his voice role as Po the Kung Fu Panda in Kung Fu Panda 4.
He will also voice Claptrap in the upcoming sci-fi action comedy Borderlands, which will also star Kevin Hart and Jamie Lee Curtis.
Jack has not yet revealed if Tenacious D has tour plans for 2024.

Jack founded Tenacious D in 1994 with fellow actor and comedian Kyle Glass, 63, and they’ve been performing ever since.
Despite being a comedy group, the duo won a Grammy for Best Metal Performance in 2015 with their song The Last in Line.
Tenacious D has released four studio albums, with Post-Apocalypto in 2018 being the most recent.
Their Spicy Meatball Tour ends September 15 in Austin, Texas.
