Jacinta Nampijinpa Price has issued a brutal message exposing the things she believes Prime Minister Anthony Albanese has failed to achieve while leading the country.
Price, shadow minister for Indigenous affairs and senator from the Northern Territory, wrote the open letter on Saturday criticizing Albanese.
The senator listed things she said the Prime Minister had failed to deliver since Labor was elected, highlighting failure to reduce the cost of living, immigration and the “divisive” Voice referendum.
Senator Price claimed Australian families were “worse off” despite Mr Albanese’s plan to curb the cost of living crisis and called his attempt a “shocking failure”.
Senator Jacinta Nampijinpa Price (pictured) wrote a brutal open letter criticizing Prime Minister Anthony Albanese for his failed attempt to reduce the cost of living.
Senator Price also took aim at Albanese’s immigration policy (pictured), calling it “things that destroy the nation.”
“The Australian people exercised their democratic rights and put Anthony Albanese into the lodge under the impression that he would achieve a $275 reduction in energy bills, a lower cost of living and leave families better off,” the Australian wrote. Senator Price.
‘But the results are clear. None of that has happened. Interest rates are even higher. Inflation has barely slowed. And there’s no sign of that $275 reduction.
‘Under Labour, a typical family with a mortgage is now in a position to lose more than $35,000. What a surprising failure!
In November last year, the Reserve Bank raised interest rates for the 13th time in 18 months, taking the cash rate to a 12-year high of 4.35 per cent.
This has caused monthly mortgage payments to increase by 67 percent, while renters have endured huge rent increases thanks to a vacancy rate of one percent or less in many parts of the country.
Hopes for a rate cut were dashed when the Australian Bureau of Statistics revealed last month that inflation in March rose to 3.5 per cent, up from 3.4 per cent in February.
Senator Price then attacked the Albanian government’s immigration policy, calling it a “nation-destroying thing.”
But things get worse. Because now the government is bringing in 1.67 million immigrants in five years, right in the middle of a housing crisis,” Senator Price wrote.
“This is something that destroys a nation.”
Australia reached a new immigration milestone in February, with more than 100,000 foreigners arriving in just one month for the first time.
The historic figure is eight times the number of new homes approved and is set to further fuel the worsening housing crisis.
The net inflow of permanent and long-term arrivals in February was 105,460, almost double January’s level of 55,330, new data from the Australian Bureau of Statistics showed.
A record 548,800 migrants arrived in the year to September last year, with the foreign influx accounting for 83.2 per cent of Australia’s population increase.
The 2.5 percent population growth rate, including births, was the fastest since 1952.
Senator Price claimed Albanese’s push for the Voice referendum was another example of the Labor government’s failures as it was a “divisive” vote that put the unity of the nation at risk.
Senator Price also claimed the failed Indigenous Voice referendum was “divisive”.
“Of course, Albanese has already attempted to destroy the unity and cohesion of our nation with his divisive Voice,” Senator Price wrote.
‘But that is yet another example of the failures of the Labor government. Because, as you know, the Voice went down and Albanese decided that the problems facing Aboriginal people, especially those of us in the Northern Territory, no longer matter.
‘It keeps offering platitudes and short-term cash injections and refuses to look at the real problems.
“He refuses to consider that Aboriginal people are Australians like him and should be helped based on their needs, not their race.”
After a seven-month campaign, the Voice referendum was defeated in every state and territory except the ACT and cost the Australian taxpayer around $450 million.
The outspoken senator ended her letter by describing Albanese as a “creature of politics” before singling out opposition leader Peter Dutton (pictured) as the best person to lead the country.
Senator Price ended the letter by labeling Mr. Albanese a “creature of politics” with “misplaced priorities” and “lack of accountability.”
“Anthony Albanese is obsessed with his legacy and his photographs,” Senator Price wrote.
‘He is a creature of politics, who is already focusing his attention on the elections instead of focusing on the problems we face.
‘That has been the pattern for the last two years. Misplaced priorities, lack of accountability and all politics all the time.
The senator pointed to opposition leader Peter Dutton as the best replacement for Albanese.
“With Peter Dutton at the helm, year three will be dedicated to fighting for Australian families to oust this self-absorbed government,” Senator Price wrote.
