Bill Maher told Pete Buttigieg that it appears Joe Biden “doesn’t have time” to investigate the attempted assassination of Trump since no one has been fired yet.

Maher questioned the Transportation Secretary about Secret Service failures that allowed 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks to attack the former president during a pre-planned rally in Pennsylvania.

This comes as Biden faces calls to fire Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle, who has yet to resign.

“Should Joe Biden have fired the head of the Secret Service?” Maher asked Buttigieg on his HBO Real Time show Friday. “I don’t understand it.”

“I’m not privy to all the details on the Homeland Security side,” Buttigieg said. “I do know that there is a very serious after-action report and process and a lot of scrutiny going on.”

Maher questioned the Transportation Secretary about Secret Service failures that allowed 20-year-old Thomas Matthew Crooks to attack the former president during a pre-planned rally in Pennsylvania.

“I think everything that led up to that moment, that horrible moment, is under scrutiny,” she added. “And I think President Biden and his administration will do the right thing.”

But Maher countered: “Well, you didn’t need a microscope to see it,” the presenter said. “The guy was on the roof, not too far away.”

“I’ve seen people fired for less money, and it looks bad,” he said. “It seems like they’re saying, ‘Well, the other guy from the other party got shot. Well, we’ll look into it when we have time.'”

Security officials had potential assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks on their radar for more than 40 minutes before he shot Donald Trump.

A photograph showing the gunman apparently crawling on the ground as he roamed the area was circulated to law enforcement as a suspicious sighting at 5:30 p.m. during the Butler, Pennsylvania, demonstration on July 14, according to WPXI.

At about 6:11 p.m., Crooks took up a position on the sloped roof of a warehouse and shot Trump from a distance of about 165 yards, hitting him in the ear and killing retired Fire Chief Corey Comperatore.

Two more images also showed a bicycle owned by Crooks that was recovered near the scene, and a remote detonator which was recovered from his body along with his cell phone.

It was later revealed that the detonator was connected to explosives found in his car.

The gunman also acted strangely near the metal detectors that attendees were required to pass through before entering the event grounds. Witnesses said Crooks was furiously checking his phone and operating a hunting rangefinder.

Security officials had would-be assassin Thomas Matthew Crooks on their radar for more than 40 minutes before he shot Donald Trump.

He tried to enter through that point but activated the detector and was denied entry, the sources said.

The offenders used an AR-style rifle, which authorities believe was purchased by his father.

The roof where Crooks lay was less than 150 meters (164 yards) from where Trump was speaking, a distance from which a decent marksman could reasonably hit a human-sized target.

That’s the distance at which U.S. Army recruits must hit a human-sized silhouette in order to fire the M-16 rifle.

In addition to the explosives in his car, investigators also recovered a bulletproof vest and hundreds of rounds of ammunition, which had been purchased, along with a ladder, on the same day of the shooting.

The litany of revelations brought more questions to the fore about the Secret Service’s handling of the event, after embattled chief Kimberley Cheatle bizarrely said officials considered the roof too risky a position to place an agent.
