A ‘British Rapunzel’ with 5ft-long locks says she won more than 500 hearts this year – but she’s yet to find Mr. Right.

Jasmine Larsen, known as the ‘real-life British Rapunzel’, from Bristol, became an online sensation after growing her natural red hair to an impressive 4ft 7in, however her notable tresses have attracted attention. wrong looks.

The influencer regularly receives attention from her 130,000 Instagram followers, who she says make strange requests for items like her personal brush and locks of hair. He also claims to have turned down a fetish style offer to cut his hair for £250,000.

Jasmine, who has a master’s degree in biochemistry, says her hair is now a fixation for “rich” men who “flaunt their money 24/7” and desire her as a wife. But while he acknowledges they have a lot of money, their approach “has put me off dating.”

“I’m definitely getting more submissions than last year, I had about 500,” Jasmine lamented.

‘Honestly, I’m getting a little tired of them and usually tell them to find someone they really connect with in person.

‘I don’t like dating through social media or apps, let alone marrying someone based on a few photos. It just feels strange. And of course, there are still rich men who try to impress me by showing off their wealth.

‘(The men) have been relentless, increasingly persistent and eager to marry me. Meanwhile, I’m here struggling to get a date!’

The lack of romance in her life is not for lack of trying, as the bachelorette once tried the dating app Tinder, but to no avail.

Jasmine says she has had a hard time diverting attention from wealthy men on dating apps.

“I used to be on Tinder but I decided to delete it,” Jasmine revealed.

“I felt like I was constantly attracting rich guys who couldn’t stop talking about their money or those with unusual fetishes.

‘Honestly, I prefer to meet someone in person and let things develop naturally. I also realized that having great photos on dating apps can sometimes backfire – people put you on a pedestal or get too obsessed.

“Plus, I’ve been attracting rich, flashy men who flaunt their money 24/7, which has definitely put me off dating. It’s really made me completely rethink dating!” ‘

Jasmine also shared how a follower offered her £250,000 to cut her long locks, which she refused.

Fans have been bombarding her with shocking requests, as well as encouraging her to cut and donate her ‘priceless’ locks.

Jasmine said: “I’ve had some really strange requests, like being asked to wrap my hair around a camera, sending my brush in the post or even picking up naturally falling hair and sending it to them.”

‘It’s also strange when other women express negativity or insist that I should donate my hair.

‘I made a follow-up video in response, which sparked a conversation about the right to keep one’s hair and the judgment women face for such decisions.

‘Many shared their own experiences, emphasizing that it is strange how people feel entitled to have opinions about something so personal.

“This discussion turned into a broader topic about how women are judged in all aspects of their lives: hair, weight, fashion and more.”

Jasmine, who is currently building her business, LARS Haircare, has been growing her hair out since 2017 and recently cut her hair for the first time, although it was just a short cut.

She said: ‘I had approximately 5-10cm of my hair trimmed to eliminate breakage and create a more even, polished look at the ends.

‘The hairdressers did an excellent job, removing just the right amount to refresh my ends without significantly affecting my length, a common concern for girls with long hair when getting cuts in a salon.

‘To make sure this didn’t happen, I came prepared with a tape measure and repeatedly emphasized that I only wanted a 5-10cm discount. (Now) it feels absolutely incredible.”

Jasmine applies oil to her hair every day and braids it to prevent breakage.

She also says that eating a healthy diet rich in fruits and vegetables and drinking at least a liter of water a day has played a big role in her hair growth.

Jasmine added: “My diet is packed with lots of fruit and vegetables. I especially think eggs have been good for growing my hair because they are so rich in protein.

‘And I think sweet potatoes and greens like spinach have also been particularly good, as I eat a lot of them.

‘My hair is my natural color. I’ve never dyed my hair, so I think that’s also been really helpful when it comes to growing it out because it doesn’t get damaged by trying to dye or bleach it, which is extremely damaging.

‘I wear my hair in a braid or bun with oil every day to protect it and prevent breakage.

Jasmine also shared how a follower offered her £250,000 to cut her long locks, which she refused.

‘I even protect my hair while I sleep. I have a satin pillowcase that I sleep on and I also wear a satin bonnet to bed because my hair is so long and spills out of my satin pillow.

Jasmine rarely applies heat to her hair and only uses styling equipment for special occasions. She believes that has also been a critical part of her hair growth journey.

Jasmine said: “I only wash my hair once or twice a week and let it air dry most of the time unless I’m going to a special event.”

‘It usually takes a whole day for my hair to dry completely. It’s such a long process.

‘I only straighten my hair once a month if I’m going somewhere special. By using less heat on my hair, I stop any damage that could cause breakage.

“My hair is naturally straight with a slight curl, so I can still create a lot of great hairstyles with my hair because it’s long without having to use hot tools.”

As for her love life, the content creator says she has given up on love and would rather take a more holistic approach to life and focus on herself.
