Celebrity stylist Rochelle White previously told FEMAIL that the trend, which first appeared on social media in 2018, could become popular again because it’s a good way to be sustainable and change the look of your bikini without to buy a new one.
It also strengthens a woman’s underbust and highlights their assets in a “different way,” she explained.
“I think this look is being hyped thanks to its appearance on the Kardashians, various models and influencers, and of course social media,” said Rochelle.
“It’s a trend that has been creeping in since the summer of 2020, I feel. I feel like women want to emphasize and show more underboob and it gives your bikini a different way or look.
“Some people might rock the same bikini but in a different style. It works well as a cost-effective and sustainable item, which many people want to be a part of.”
